Simply Irresistible Thai

Shop 2 & 3
59 / 61 Ridge St
North Sydney

Last year the owner of Simply Irresistible Thai, Micky decided to expand her existing restaurant into the vacant shop next door. As a long standing customer she approached Kens Commercial Kitchens to design and fit-out the new kitchen and seating area.

The new design incorporated expanding her existing kitchen and adding a bar area divided from the seating area by attractive rustic steel and glass partion.

A new floor was part of the upgrade, this was achieved by overlaying the existing flooring with Monotek safety flooring.

The whole project took 5 weeks and included the following:

New coolroom / Waldorf cooking appliances / New Goldstein wok / New Washtech dishwasher and glass washer / New Fagor ice maker New storeroom and office / Painting, tiling, plumbing, electrical and new disabled toilet / New stainless steel benches

Added to this is Micky’s quirky choice of lighting and furniture makes the new restaurant a place not to miss………The food is amazing as well!

Salvation Army Aged care themed facility

Kens Commercial Kitchens were asked by the The Salvation Army to design and fit out their new and exciting Aged Care establishment in Collaroy. Elizabeth Jenkins Place is a multi-million dollar ‘beach’ themed facility which will be home to a complete range of residents ranging right through from Low Care to High Care. Comprising of one main production kitchen, four small serveries, two large serveries and one ‘open theatre based’ kitchen, all tastes and food types have been catered for. The design, therefore, had to consider all areas of interactivity. We believe our designs and quality fit out compliments the first rate standards set by Thompson Adset (Architects) and Grindley Constructions (Builder) and combined with the experience and compassion of the Salvation Army has created a warm relaxed, homely, resort type ambience.

Sydney heritage hotel – completed project

WALLACIA HOTEL, WESTERN SYDNEY

Located at the foothills of the Blue Mountains and by the banks of the Nepean River, the Wallacia Hotel is one of Western Sydney’s most popular heritage hotels. Established in the early 1930’s and after recently undergoing some major renovations to maintain the historic heritage of the original building, the hotel itself has a newly refurbished atmosphere and appearance. Kens Commercial Kitchens designed and supplied the new bar which included Williams back bar refrigeration in striking black, Washtech glass washers and stainless steel bench tops. One of the main features of the bar is the open front style which enables beers to be served under the fonts. Jeff Barton and his father Bob were very happy with the fitout and would recommend Kens Commercial Kitchens to other clients looking to redesign or update their existing bar.
